This new version will hold two 18650 batteries and be chargeable and upgradeable via a USB port on the bottom of the unit. They also say it will be capable of firing an atomizer as low as 0.1 ohms. Not only that, but you’ll be able to plug this sucker into your computer, and upgrade the firmware, making it capable of firing 120-150 watts. (as well as something about changing the letters on the screen?)
Of course, it doesn’t seem as though it is quite ready for primetime yet, as they are basically showing off the chip housed inside the IPV2 body, with only one battery. They say the final box will be a little thicker than the IPV2. This to me is a welcome change, as I felt like it was just a little thin. I would also gladly sacrifice a little bit of form factor to squeeze an extra battery in there. It will still come with screws, instead of magnets (like everyone wanted) for the back cover, but they said the screws will be upgraded, and better than the ones on the IPV2.
The IPV3 will be available in Black and Silver, just like its predecessor, and is expected to go on sale August 30th.
PLEASE USE A 30A BATTERY FOR THIS DEVICE*
